Senior Art Clay Work

Image
Here is a sample of some recent clay works that the senior art students have created. For many of them, this was there first time working with this medium. This is a selection of pinch pots and 3d heads. They are currently working on perspective and will be moving on to atmospheric watercolour landscapes.

Band Room mini Murals

Image
Mr. Kitsch has approached the senior students and asked that they leave their mark on the walls of the band room. He has been trying to get some musical themed paintings done for some time now and was in collaboration with Brian Marion a few years back. Unfortunately, Brian was unwell and unable to create the large scale murals for the school band room. So far a few of our senior art students have stepped up to the plate and created a few small scale paintings (2' x 2') which you can see below. Some students from the current senior art class will be selected to create a 4' x 16' painting which will remain in the band room for years to come.

Grade 5 - Doctor Seuss inspired Landscapes

Image
Dr. Seuss (a.k.a. – Theodore Seuss) began his career as a political cartoonist, but he is best known for his 60+ childrens books. He started publishing them in the 1950’s up until death in 1991.       Check out the whimsical landscapes and cityscapes below.               They were created by grade 5A and 5B and are inspired by the         illustrations of Dr. Seuss.
