Grade 7 Art Grade 7B has been experiencing art making from a variety of new perspectives. Teacher intern Jenni Delowski has been teaching the students about exceptional artists. Some of the artists that were shown in class are blind or have been making visual art for the blind by including braille in their work so everyone can "see" it. The first lesson required partnering up and using blindfolds to mimic the loss of sight. The students who were blindfolded were asked to dream up a real or imaginary place and describe it to their partner. That partner then had to guide the blindfolded painter to the correct colours and use very descriptive terminology to assist the painter with their art. The students really enjoyed this exercise and some of the pieces are amazing! Check out the process below!

Pencil Crayon - Subject Matter was student choice but had to be in a realistic style and the rendering had to show blending of at least three colours, with layering.
