Grade 8 Scratch Paper Art Grade 8 will soon be starting a scratch art project after learning and reviewing some basic drawing techniques.  Scratch art is etching made easy. We will be using black and white scratch art paper. When a student is drawing, they are removing the top ink layer of the paper with a small metal tool. All you have to do is get your image lightly drawn on top on the ink and begin drawing with the metal scraper tool. The trick here is that when you scrape into the paper, it is like you are drawing with white on black.  Below are some examples of professional artists work.  Stay tuned to see how our students do with this new process! Want to know more about how to do it?  http://www.scratchboard.org/russhowto/index.html Our Grade 8 examples!!

Proposal How to: Your area of interest ·          Specify the subject you are interested in and why. (Take some notes as you ask yourself: What am I interested in...

You need to be mature with your opinions and answers and avoid writing basic responses to each question. You are responsible for analysing a painting of your choice from the images at the bottom of this post. Below is a basic structure of how to write a case study. Your writing should continually flow rather than be short disjointed answers to each question. Step 1 - Copy and paste these questions into a word document Step 2 - Choose an art work from the bottom of this post and paste it into your word document Step 3 - Answer the questions Step 4 - Begin forming paragraphs from the answers to your questions (see example case study below) Hint - pretend you are writing this article for an art magazine Looking at art: Seeing Questions. Describe it. What kinds of things do you see in this painting? What ...
